Hydroxy Acid Sebu-Clear Masque is an acid cream mask that contains an effective combination of Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids to exfoliate both gently on the surface, improving skin texture and tone and the penetration of active ingredients, and deeply within the pore, reducing clogging and killing bacteria. We love this masque for its ability to clear existing, and reduce future, breakouts, leaving the skin looking visibly clearer.

Ingredients

SALICYLIC ACID a Beta Hydroxy Acid with anti-bacterial and exfoliating properties. This oil soluble exfoliating acid helps dissolve clogging dirt, oil and dead skin cells from deep within the pore. BHAs are also known to have skin calming properties.

LACTIC ACID an Alpha Hydroxy Acid hydrating exfoliant that relieves dry skin, stimulates collagen renewal and improves pigmentation by inhibiting the production of excess tyrosinase enzymes that cause hyperpigmentation.

While both Alpha Hydroxy and Beta Hydroxy Acids are effective exfoliants that work by dissolving the “glue” that binds live and dead skin cells together, and then dissolving the dead skin from the bottom up, Alpha Hydroxy Acids are water soluble, work on the upper surface layers of the skin, and help with skin healing and hydrating by improving the skin’s natural moisturizing factors, while Beta Hydroxy Acids are oil soluble and work deeper within the pore to dissolve debris and prevent clogging.

TEA TREE LEAF OIL anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial, helps prevent breakouts by killing bacteria, while not over drying the skin.

MAGNESIUM ALUMINIUM SILICATE a clay base that both hydrates skin and absorbs excess oil.

This product contains Salicylic Acid as a keratolytic agent. Avoid using this product if any known allergies to the ingredients exist. Avoid if allergic to Aspirin®.

Recommended Use

Cleanse, and tone if desired, apply an even layer of this mask using the brush provided. You may apply this mask to your whole face, or just use in areas prone to breakouts.

Remove after 10 minutes. May be used as frequently as every second or third evening, if no irritation occurs. Mild tingling may be experienced. To remove Masque, rinse thoroughly with tepid water. We recommend washing the brush with an antibacterial soap after each use to stop the transfer of bacteria from breakouts.

Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse carefully with tepid water.

This product contains an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) and a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. We recommend daily application of sunscreen when using this masque.
